Common task
Generate a QR code for an event flyer
Paste a link, get a clean QR code in seconds. Download as PNG or SVG to drop into your flyer.
QR codes on event flyers, mailers, and yard signs let people register, RSVP, or donate without typing a URL. The QR Generator turns any link into a code you can drop into your design.
When to use this: Putting a QR code on a flyer, a mailer, a yard sign, a presentation slide, or a tabling display.
How to do it
- Paste the URL you want the QR to point at. (Use a short link from your action page if the URL is long — fewer dots in the code makes it more reliable when printed small.)
- Pick a foreground color. Black on white is the safest for any size; you can use your brand color for digital displays, but stick to dark colors so the contrast scanner can find it.
- Pick PNG if you’re dropping it into Canva or PowerPoint; SVG if you’re working in Illustrator or printing at billboard size.
- Click Download.
One thing people miss
A QR code on a yard sign needs to be at least 1 inch wide to scan from across the lawn. On a half-page mailer, an inch is also a good minimum. On a phone screenshot for social, 200 pixels is enough. If you make it too small, only people standing right next to it can scan it — which defeats the point of putting it on a sign.
